nice idea's Fitz.

I had intended for it to be En Worlder vs En Worlder at some point as well. Maybe not in the first few scenes, but maybe stick the original groups together with ill-fitting alignemnt issues, then allow them to (at some future RP-heavy scene) reform their groups on whatever basis they wish.

I worry about the logistics of dragging tons of scenery (for tables) to and from a con though.

Any thoughts?

*Fingers Crossed* If everything worked out this year, which we'll find out when numbers start getting crunched, and TRS and EN Publishing have booths again next year... We would DEFINATELY like to have a small gaming area for constant EN World ONLY games ... Perhaps with celebrity DMs. We already have a couple comitments.

Otherwise, we'll arrange celebrity games at the nearest canadia suite

A contest?

Have making the tables be a contest with donated prizes. Literally have the tables made at the con (with a deadline of saturday at noon for judging, so we can play on them by 4:00 PM) Have people pre-reg to make tables with specific descriptions and judge then for usability, creativity and overall aesthetics? Get prizes from the companies that make terrain stuff as well as publishers. We could have mini companies donate the character minis and have a painting contest for those as well. Though needing those for the first two scenarios might make that problematic.

So far this has been a great brain storming thread. But ideas like this are delicate...you have to keep nurturing them to keep them alive.

I figure soon we should get a thread started to decide who's going to head up this project...and maybe we can con the mods into stickifying it for us.

Anyone ever watch the show Amazing Race? You've got a number of small teams who have a race. There are obstacles to the race, of course, and they can either hinder or cooperate with the other teams (when they meet up), and mandatory rest points give the DMs the opportunity to re-coordinate and summarize events so far. One DM per team, a few more coordinating, and you're good to go. Make it a Greyhawk World Tour or something.

On the enworlder vs enworlder route, why not make them vs. each other in the begining?

For example you have the thieves guild at table A trying to break into the castle dungeons to steal the treasure. The City Guards at table B are looking for thieves trying to break into the castle dungeons. The Mages Guild at table C are got wind of a prophecy that a major demon would cause havok to the kingdom, and would be summoned by an "artifact", that happens to reside in the castle dungeons. The cultists at table D, who secretly reside in the castle dungeons, are attempting to summon their demon god. Etc etc etc...
