D&D General Gen Con Advice

I appreciate the tips so far! I've been to big conventions before, like PAX, so I'm not too worried about that part being a shock. I'm hoping to get a hotel in walking distance; I'm kind of wondering what the best options are. I know from previous experience that I need to be able to get away from the crowds for some downtime. Con crud is definitely a thing; I'll have to remember to get all my boosters before I go. Fortunately it's summer so I won't have to go right back to work afterwards.

I'm pretty sure they've cracked down on that in the last few years.
