Gen Con Shopping List

One of the wonderful things about Gen Con, besides great games and meeting gamers from around the world, is the shopping in the exhibition hall. I have had the joy of finding long lost products (okay, products that someone stole from me and my friends) at Gen Con. (I once found a copy of GDQ and E. Gary Gygax was kind enough to autograph it.)

I have also picked up wonderful new products. So, I thought I would ask what new or existing products should I and other people pick up at Gen Con?

D&D E tools stands high on my list as does Atlas Games' Nyambe.

So, now is the time for shameless plugs. If they can do it on Letterman and Leno, you can do it here. (WIth the blessing of our moderators.)

Old products are hard to suggest without knowing your tastes or likes.

The only new product that interests me that I heared was being realised at Gen Con is Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG. If I was going to Gen Con I'd pick it up.

Rumors that R&R2 might be there. I also know that Necropolis will be on display. Plus I believe the Banewarrens.

I just look at the old stuff to see if anything appeals to me. Sometimes I stumble on stuff I liked. (I was not kidding about an old player who was a thief.)

I had completely forgotten about Necropolis. I must pick that one up.

I would urge everyone going to the EN World Gathering Friday (just after the Ennies) to pick one up. It will help ensure that Morrus makes it to Gen Con next year.

That's about it. I have a really flexible list so i can just buy whatever the hell I want--it'll be absolutely great. There's always a whole lot of really nifty stuff.

I'm hoping to pick up the old TSR Microgame Revolt on Antares. I also plan to pick everyting for the old Villains and Vigilantes game (providing I can get it cheap). I loved V&V back in the day.

I'm also hoping to trade somebody something for a copy of Shadowforce Archer campaign setting.

I may grab E-Tools if it looks good.
