Well, cable TV. G4TechTV to be precise. But still, super cool! Their show Screen Savers features a segment on Gen Con So Cal which includes interviews with Peter Adkinson of Gen Con, Ed Stark of Wizards, and Nat Sims of Behemoth3 - pretty stellar company (even if we are prefaced with the introduction "And there's also a place for the little guys").

Next time it'll be on is 12/10/2004 12pm ET / 9am PT.
Their coverage of the con is overall positive, perhaps because the audience for the show is already gamers and geeks of one kind or another. They do rely on LARPers and masqueraders for eye-candy, and crack some jokes afterwards on whether any women were there or just men roleplaying women, but the overall slant is "here's something that's big and fun" and not the "here's what some weirdos we found under a rock are doing" you'd expect from a mainstream local news.
