I'm going to try to go this year. Never been to an RPG convention before, so I have no idea what to expect when I get there or what I'm supposed to do when I enter the doors :p

Before the con, we'll have an EN World Gen Con forum. Sign up for games! Judges from EN World have all been pretty much wonderful, and it's fun to game with people you already sort of know.

And leave yourself enough time for socializing, and at least 5 hours to explore the Dealer Hall.

I usually schedule two or three 4-hour games a day, and leave the rest of the time for the ENnies, socializing and exploring.

If you know Rob Hughes, try encourage him to go. He lives in the same area as you, but I know the cities in the Bay area are quite large.

I've been trying Rob to go with me for a three years already.

Once again I won't be going. On an interesting side note, it seems that there will be a GenCon in Australia next year for the first time. It's in Brisbane. If it was in Melbourne I might have thought about it but Brisbane is a little too hard to justify the travel to the wife!

I dream of one day making it to Gen Con in the USA though. It probably won't be this decade but I'm hopeful I'll get there eventually.
