Gencon & Alea Tools & GMing?

How many people are planning to run some PF or D&D (any edition) games at Gencon?

Derek Guder, the Genon Events Coordinator, has sent out an offer from Gencon and Alea Tools that is particularly generous.

The following is from an email from Gencon (probably sent to all past DMs/GMs) -

Alea Tools has a special offer for our hard working GMs. If you are a GM running a Dungeons & Dragons® (any edition) or Pathfinder® event at Gen Con Indy 2011, you could qualify for a special set of Magnetic Markers from Alea Tools, FREE!

This set includes a table top display rack, 50 Magnetic Markers and 55 conversion circles – a retail value of $55.

To qualify, you must submit your event as normal through the Gen Con event submission form and it must appear in the program guide (meaning it must be submitted by March 11th). You must run at least 4 games and only games using Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder rules are eligible.

Email jeff.almeidaAleatools.com with your game ID and contact information. Supplies are limited and this offer is available only as long as they last.

If you are accepted, Gen Con will add “Uses Alea Tools Magnetic Markers” to your event description, so be sure to leave space in your event description (that text requires 33 characters so the description you enter for your games should be no longer than 417 characters, including spaces). Do not add that to your description yourself, it will be entered into your event later.

To redeem your gift, you must pick up you set of magnetic markers in the Alea Tools booth by 6 pm Saturday evening – or you will forfeit your gift. Limit one gift per registered GM.

For additional information visit Alea Tools - Stackable Magnetic Markers!, or contact jeff.almeida @ Aleatools.com

Morrus, Herr Admiral...
This is worthy of a sticky, don't you think?

Thanks for the info Mark. Unfortunately for me, my DMing at TrueDungeon leaves little time for official DMing enough to qualify, but it is a sweet offer worthy of recognition none the less.

Still another week (March 11th) to get those games in the program and take advantage of this generous offer. :)

Um ... do we actually have to use the markers in the game?

I bought a set when they were first at GenCon, and I've just never been able to use them effectively.

Really? I LOVE them. Some have become pretty standardized throughout the metro.

Red=Bloodied
light blue= slowed
medium blue=imobilized
dark blue= Herschel's marks :D
orange=dazed
brown=in REALLY deep......trouble ;)
etc.
