[GenCon] Has anyone else been able to register?

I've been trying to register for GenCon for several days now, and the registration section of the website is down. I suppose I could just call the hotel and do it on my own, and worry about the pass later, but dang it, I'd rather do it all at once.

Anyone know what's up?

It's up now. I've registered for myself and a friend.

But a lot of stuff is full. Some stuff sold out in just a few hours.

Yeah, the Arcana Unearthed games...I really wanted to try those out.

I've registered for a few events, and Barendd is right: things are filling up very quickly.

It sounds like you might be talking about registering for the con itself, though, and not for events. I did that a couple of weeks ago, and had no problems with it.

You know, if I paid attention more, I might have noticed the word hotel in your post, Buttercup.

Sorry about that. I did my hotel reservation when the system first went live, so I don't know if that's working or not. But when I bought my friend's pass yesterday (April 14), he still got a password for the hotel reg. section after paying for the GenCon badge--so the people running the site probably think it all still works. Have you tried emailing the GenCon LLC people?

Well, you know, perseverence pays off. After about the 200th try, I finally got into the site and was able to register for both my pass and the hotel.

But as you say, many of the games are already full.

Now, just to make sure, the ENnies are Friday night, yes? Anyone know what time?

i got an all hands email from the tech guy. he is currently in London for GenConUK.

he/they is/are working on increasing the number of slots available for games.
