Gencon UK ENWorld game

BUMP for anyone who doesn't know about this...

also, I had an idea. We should make sure we put something up on the DOGames board about ENWorld, so that us ENWorlders can get together.

Morrus, could you do something, like a A4 sized print out of the ENWorld logo so we could do a bit of advertising?

Last time I put the standard sheet up on the DOGs board a couple of days before the game, and that worked ok (except for getting spotted by the weird guy who subsequently played the gnome). It turns out that the Gencon dates coincide both with the exam on the distance learning Computer & Communications Law course I'm teaching (Saturday 9am-Sunday 9am), and is right before I have to go to Manchester for a presentation on Tuesday (prob need to take train up on Monday), so I'm a bit worried now I may only be able to attend on the Easter Sunday itself, which I'm keeping clear.

Hello Matt ;)
The problem with putting a notice up on the DOG board is that it's an open invitation to anyone who wants to play - EN Worlders or not.

S'mon :)

If you do put up a notice, you might want to make it clear that numbers are limited and players are accepted at your discretion. You made a valiant effort last year, but I would advise against too many players. IME when you have more than 8 or 9 players, there's too much for the DM to do and too little for the players.

Great (not!) :p

Actually, there's a pretty good reason why the paladin and the monk might want to work together...

Hi Zander - this game (unlike the last) is a bar-room brawl game designed to handle the maximum possible number of players we can fit around one of those Olympia II tables. So I want up to 11 players for this game, 1 per PC, and there are some generic City Guard (N)PCs available as replacements for players whose PCs die early, or who have reserved a spot with me but not chosen a PC pre-game.

I'm planning to put up on the DOGs board a printed sheet with the names of players who've booked a spot besides their chosen PCs, a list of any open slots, and a waiting list area in case of player drop-outs (not likely to be a major problem, going by last time!).

I think we should aim to meet up at the DOGs board at 2.50pm on the Sunday, then go to our table, which I'll have had pre-booked.

BTW does anyone have a nice big tavern floorplan they can bring? I have one suitable one, but it's a bit old & scrappy now. A 1" to 5' scale would be nice.

Hi Maldur - I'll post you the Paladin PC now. He's a Knight of the Fiery Shield, a Paladin of Girru the Flamebringer. Nice PC I think.
