Actually, I don't remember you giving a definite number, and since a normal resurrection would have put her at a different XP total anyway, I didn't really bother with keeping the old one up.

I did--Velmont thought it was only for Hogarth though when I gave 6th-level people a different total, but it was also for Ashna.

Okay, that means XP. Everyone, including dead Ashna, gets lots of XP--level 8 chars get 9250 XP for the encounter, level 7 chars get 9591 XP, level 6 get 10275. Yes, you read that correctly. Since this is a guaranteed level up, I'll avoid giving any of the other XP out yet so you don't run into the most idiotic SRD rule ever--the one that makes you lose excess XP if you are about to double-level

I take the level 6 XP for Hogarth?

Hmm, Ashnar was already halfway to 7. I just realised that if I give even time XP during the time Rinaldo was at the Academy, I'll manage to level up Ashnar twice (and only didn't do so already due to the rule preventing it)

Still confused though regarding where I start - should I start with 18,000 XP (halfway between 6th and 7th) per resurrection plus that amount, or the current 18,295 plus perhaps a bit higher (I might have skipped another one)? Or a different one?

Though it seems that either way I would skip level 7 entirely? (18,000+ ~ 10,X00 > 28,000).

You were never resurrected, so you take your current XP and add that number. There's a rule that prevents you from skipping a level, so because of that your total becomes 27999
