As you can see in the post above, you are correct. I'll note that we share a game as players that slowed down both Ironwolf and Zaeryl, so that makes our slow advancement less of a weird coincidence and a bit more explainable, at least. Though fast-moving Juliana was in Zaeryl's slow first adventure before being sent over to you.

Interestingly, 100% of the games in which I played except Festival of Halina have either had a GM vanish or a GM go on board hiatus.
Woho! I'm cool! :)

Lasair is going to get a hunk of XP in a but, as well as a potenital monty haul.

I would just suggets to roleplay your character well. Rinaldo got many roleplay XP award from his DMs because I roleplay it well... I even convince Manz and some player sthat I was about to leave the game after Rinaldo almost got kill because of a silly mistake... it's just fun to explore the psychology of your character in front of some events.

Wow, Opale appear in the most Experienced spellcaster even after dying, which has slowed down her progression.
That sounds familiar. :p

I'm a bit surprised that Semabin isn't among the slowest advancers (yet?), given that that character is "older" than Ashnar, and is lower level than the latter. Seems getting stuck in slow games is much worse than dying in terms of character advancement. :uhoh:

Much much worse than dying! So far all the characters that died and returned seem to be doing fine compared to those stuck in slow games (granted the ones stuck in slow games I know are my own characters and their party-mates, whereas I think I know a greater percentage of the dead ones because there is usually a buzz when that happens)

Manzanita has referred to me as the most lethal DM in ENWorld. If I remember correctly, I've had 4 PCs die, 3 of whom have been returned to life. Ashnar's death was under another DM, which brings us up to 5 deaths. Any others out there?

Did you DM the orc who got himself killed on a ship? Otherwise I can only think of Juliana's "mis-death" which was corrected.

Yes, that was me. He's the one that didn't come back. Gorefoot (everyone's favorite former Gnome) as well Opale and Ducane are the ones that came back.

Lest anyone get the wrong idea, I've got 6 complete adventures, one nearly complete, and one just starting. It's not quite the meat grinder it may seem...

Well, to be fair, Gorefoot's death was a mixture of his own tactical foolishness, and a scythe critical from an elder Redcap. I think 73 points of damage would still one-shot any living PC in EnWorld.

I've had two PCs die under my watch as DM. Both were 5th level. One is still in the top 10. There are no formal rules in LEW about handing XPs at death, that I'm aware of. Patlin & I have been giving the PCs the most favorable treatment within reason in these cases.

I should note that I only populated my spreadsheet w/PCs of 4th level & higher, so some of the REALLY slow advancers didn't even get factored in.
