How does LEW work favored classes and multiclassing? Any special rules?

I'm batting back and forth several character concepts, and how this is dealt with might make a bit of a difference.

No special rules that I'm aware of.

As per SRD. Offhand, the only house rules we have relating to multiclassing are a couple of homebrew feats that exempt certain class combinations (paladin/ranger, cleric/monk) from the usual restrictions on paladin or monk multiclassing.

I always disliked that rule, but it is what it is.

re XP awards and double levels. I agree that we should encourage DMs to hand out rewards that are the most favorable result for characters. If a single encounter ends up being worth 1 full level that should be the only time this rule comes into effect (as it did for Ashna). Time XP can be awarded at any point as can any role playing xp dms choose to give. But only in the single case where it is one encounter should it come into play.

ie. I agree with the way RA has worked it.

What's the starting money for a human paragon? Should I use Rogue? That seems closest.

Can you start as a Paragon? ::Checks:: Ah, yes you can. Hmm... Rogue is close, though I think Bard might be appropriate as well (Jack of All Trades). I don't know for sure.

(2) Where in Enworld are gray elves likely to live? Do they have their own snooty city somewhere?

I knew there was something about Gray Elves somewhere, I just had to sit down and look for it. And here it is. It's not much at all, but it leaves a lot of room for you to flesh it out. Well, really, to give it a skeleton and vital organs and flesh, really. (Sorry, gross analogy.)

I just read through Razh's history for the 19th time and I want to address something that's been bugging me for a while. What are the drow in LEW? We've kinda said that we don't want classic, evil, dark skinned elves from the Underdark, but I haven't seen anything specific. But we do have an Underdark, and we do have drow. (We have the half-drow template, too.) I wrote Razh's history thinking along FRCS lines, so illithids and drow drove his clan up out of the Underdark. But maybe that doesn't really make sense in LEW. Do we even have illithids?

Hmmm... good question. No info about starting as paragon classes.

I'd say: is there a particular base class you're planning on taking the majority of your levels in? In that case, it probably makes most sense to use it, even if your first level is in a paragon class.
