There are some things in NEW that aren't entirely clear to me. I would appreciate any clarification that could be provided.

The Medic's medical knowledge base exploit let's you choose 4 [medical] skills. I don't see a medical group in the skills section. I assume that means you take any skills the GM agrees are medical in nature. Is that an accurate interpretation? Anyone have suggestions for skills that would fit in that group? Beyond the medicine skill, of course.

In psionics under power it says you spend points equal to the base power level of the power which is the minimum power requirement. Does that mean the minimum PSI requirement?

Another in psionics. When do you take the action to activate precognition? It doesn't have a note saying it doesn't take an action. Do you have to spend your first action in the combat to use it?

1) Yes - pretty much anything that's clearly medical. Medicine, psychology, that sort of thing.

2) That's correct. Its an attribute requirement and a power cost.

3) It doesn't take an action. Basically, if the GM asks you to roll for initiative, you can spend the points and get the bonus, or not. Same with an ambush check.
 

Thanks. That clears things up nicely. :)
Maybe precognition should have a line stating that it takes no action since page 56 of Future Careers says that the exploits require an action unless otherwise noted.
Btw, I really like the books so far. I'm eager to try out this system in play.
