I have to ask this question, despite the noobish nature of it, because in has never come up until now.
I have a player who wants to play a Geomancer and has met the prereqs, but before I greenlight it, I have to figure out if that "+1 level of existing class" means what I think it means.
In almost every other PrCl, you probably only have 1 spellcaster base class to worry about, but the Geomancer REQUIRES 2- one divine and one arcane.
When a PC gains a level of Geomancer and gets that +1 level of spells, he must choose which class gets the level.
The question is this: is that designation set in stone, or does the player have to choose at each level of Geomancer? That is, can he alternate classes, or take one for a while and then the other, or, once the Geomancer class has been chosen, are ALL of the +1 levels applied to the first choice of class?
My personal instinct is that the player chooses at each level which spellcasting class is benefitted, but I'm not 100% decided.
