Gesalt Feat Rules

I was looking over the Gesalt rules and I was wondering if Gesalt PCs get the usual 1 feat/3 levels, or if they get 2 feats every 3 levels. I guess a similar question would apply to stat bonuses. Do they get +1/4 levels, or +2/4 levels, since they have 2 classes?

While this is technically right, it's the wrong way to look at it.

Gestalt characters are just like normal characters, they only merge two classes into one (using the Gestalt rules) in order to get more cool abilities.

A Gestalt Fighter|Wizard, for example, is just like a character with a single class that offers d10 HD, full BAB, good Fort and Will saves, lots of fighter bonus feats, some wizard bonus feats, and full wizard spellcasting.
