Gestalt Classes

One of the throw away lines in Unearthed Arcana was the idea (not fleshed out) of classes for use in a gestalt setting which took up both slots. The idea being that an over-the-top but not outrageous class could be viable when considered as a replacement for a Fighter/Rogue or Incarnate/Monk or Psiwar/Druid combo.

I took a shot at making one of these recently and it's pretty tricky trying to find the right balance between 'better than a regular class' and not 'borken'. Has anybody else messed around with these?

Rystil Arden did a really good job creating a series of gestalt classes which were unique... they are in a thread of his in the House Rules forum. I can't remember where at the moment, but searching of sorting by username might help you find them.
