Get Fuzzy D&D

A cavalier-paladin could do the same for charisma as well and thus could get a Charisma of 18/00.

I don't think that was the case. The Cavalier just rolled for physical skill and there was no mention of special multi classing rules.

It wasn't a multiclass. The cavalier-paladin was a sub-class of the cavalier. I recall that the book suggested that the paladin should be a sub-class of the cavalier instead of being a sub-class of the fighter.

yes, they were a subclass but that doesn't mean they got the Cavaliers abilites
I can't confirm what was stated in the rules until I hunt down my copy of Unearthed Arcana, but that was how we played it.

From the Original Unearthed Arcana, pg 16:

"The paladin may also increase his or her charisma score in the same way that he or she (as a cavalier) can increase strength, dexterity, and constitution."

Seems to me that Get Fuzzy was right on target about us being dorks :)

I recall reading once that Get Fuzzy is a "parody" of Garfield, or an effort to modernize and make that tired old comic actually funny. They have the self-centered, evil cat, the good-hearted dog who is often a victim of the cat's pranks, and the (slightly) nerdy male owner.

Not sure if this is true, but it makes sense. I dig Get Fuzzy, one of the few bright spots on the comics pages these days.

Thanks, Umbran. Now I won't have to go re-unearth my old copy of the book.
