Perhaps I am speaking too quickly but this sounds like a frat thing or special clubs. I don't fit well within the normal structure of these cliches and thus my "oh yeah..." attitude to it.

I'll go out on a limb here and guess you mean "cliques" when typing "cliches"; they're very different.
