Getting Master of Magic to work

Remember that great old classic Master of Magic? Apparently MoM doesn't like my PC. I am told that it is because I have Windows XP on it. Anyone know if there is a way to make it work, or why it isn't working?

Simplest way: Buy an old pc that it was designed to run on and use that.

Harder way: wait until someone with a clue wonders by and can give you real help. Psionicist you there?

Dual Boot

Heya:

I have two PCs (evidence of my former EQ addiction, heh) and my backup PC, a Win98 system, plays MoM perfectly. My suggestion would be to add a Win98 dualboot partition to your PC so that you can play MoM (and other older cool games).

It works for me in XP if I turn off the sound. Go into the install program and try that.

Win XP has a thing called combatabillty mode, it tricks the program into thinking you are running an older version of windows. right click on the program icon and then click on proerties and you can fix it there.
