Getting players to Move

I don't do a storyhour, but I think there are two extremes to it. One, which you see in Sagiro's storyhour, is just recording the broad events and decisions, only occasionally detailing the combat and almost never doing dialogue. The other, which you can see in Wulf's old storyhour, would be extremely detailed about combat, as well as recording dialogue pretty much verbatim. Then there's everything in between. I suspect the the latter kind of people tend to use recordings, while the former just take notes. So ultimately the best system depends on your storyhour style.

I wonder if this is true. I tend to be pretty detailed IMO in my combats and dialogue and I get by with handwritten notes. I had six pages of notes from yesterdays game translating into 9 pages of Word text.

Maybe I should pursue this question in the storyhour forum.
