So I want to get the enchantment bonus keen on my weapon. The price of this is +1. In order for me to do this my sword must be masterwork, this much I am sure of. What I am questioning is this. Do I need to pay to get my sword magical, then have have enchantment bonus on it? (e.g. Pay to get sword magical then pay for +1 enchantment) My DM says this is how the rules apply, and I don't mind, I just think after getting my sword masterwork i should just be able to put keen on it. I just want a fair answer from the book. So If he is right or wrong, could you guys please let me know with a quote from the core book. Thank you.
