WotC is putting it out, I have to buy it. Laugh if you want, but thats the way it always ends up. I either buy it now or eight months of now, but eventually it will make its way into my gamer box. I mean, I bought d20 Modern didn't I? And Lords of Darkness. Still holding out on Fiend Folio and Savage Species though.

From what I have heard about this book there is nothing there that inspires me. There are too many other books sitting in my collection that havent been read properly yet and in a months time there will be 3 more.

In my uninformed opinion, this is a supplement that you will either love or not care for. Its narrow focus means it is the sort of product that would more suit a small d20 publisher rather than wotc. Despite the reputation of its authors, wotc were not sure what to do with it. However it probably is quality material and the didnt want to discard it, so it sat waiting for a gap in they release schedule. With 3.5 iminent and efforts concentrating on that, wotc have decided to plug the gap and clear the shelves by releasing it now. This could also be because of compatibility issues with it and 3.5 - this was written a while ago.

I'll admit that this is a fairly big opinion for something that I have never layed my hands on. I would hope that someone more informed could enlighten us all. I will pick it up in a book shop and look through it, I will read through the reviews, and maybe I will purchase it.

Yep

Sounds Interesting.
Has Monte's name on it.
Has SKR's name on it.

It sounds like there are some neat concepts. I will look at it at Gencon which I may or may not buy then but I will get it eventually.

Not quite. It was more of a Hasbro "we're not interested if we can't make a TV show out of it."

And there were at least three people interested in buying it from WotC while it was shelved. I'm just happy it's been printed. It really would suck to have it lost after putting all of that work into it.
