Giant Vermin

It's just such a waste when the swarm disappears a round later, as Summon Swarm has a duration of concentration +2 rounds.
I'm the shaman ;)

Not sure now whether Animal growth works on vermin... just thought about that later. I would say no by standard D&D rules stuff.

Note that the vermin are not a component for the spell (no M in components list). Rather, they are the target of the spell -- just like the creatures that are targets of an enlarge spell, for example. And you don't assume that a caster has a little man in his pocket to cast enlarge on most of the time.

This is what I'm driving at here. Due to the current environment they're in (a feezing cold dungeon and getting colder) the likelyhood of any insects being around is nil.

Same with little men in pockets, although that's up to the individual DM. :)

The Druid would be carrying these creatures with him... if you stop him from using his spells... he is just going to wildshape into a direbear... animal growth... nature's favour... Glory of the beast etc. and make your life (as DM) a living hell. ;)

YMMV
