One of the things I did for a friend of mine was look though the MM and made monster stat cards. I went out and got a note card rolidex and printed them out on note cards. Slide them into the rolidex and bam, its a small portable MM. I recently gave him an expansion set with the monsters from the MM2 and some pregenerated NPCs (1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th). It was cool and I was able to print myself out a set before my comp crashed

A nice little way to make DMing a bit easier on a small table.
