This spell (in the Spell Compendium) says that you can rend & deal more damage if "2 or more" claws hit.

Can you rend more than once in a round if you hit with all 4 claws? Say you hit with 2 claws on 1 guy and 2 claws on another guy...do you rend on both guys? Do you rend twice if all 4 claws hit the same guy?

I'm not aware of a limit of rends per round, so when you attack two different targets and hit each with two (or more ) claws, then sure. The same opponent can only be rended once in a round, though, since it's 'two or more', not 'for every two' or somesuch.

Yeah that's exactly how I was thinking it would work

There was only one monster that has rend that escalated by the number of hits. The D20 Call of Cthulhu Gug.

2 claws took a chunk out of you [4d4+10 rend], 3 claws hurt [6d4+10], 4 claws were Bad [8d4+10]. This of course was on top of the claw damage itself [2d4+7 each].

Something else came to mind about this spell.

If a cleric is wearing full plate, would you allow the arms to appear through the armor? Or would it work like Alter Self and make the armor just fall off since it's not made for 2 extra arms?
