I mean whenever I hear "Nanny" and "D&D" I think hags. So I would use some hags, of various types, disguised as normal old women and see if the party can see through the deception.
EDIT: I think this would make a great RP opportunity, plus a combat one if you want one. And I think the incentives for hags getting their hands on brass wyrmlings are limitless (raising evil pets, turning them into spell components, etc.)
