You work with what you've got. Waiting around for there to not be a crisis is kind-of a fool's errand this century.
Might even be a bit of a crisis that century.

I read that Ridley Scott set the first Gladiator in the "cinematic history" of Rome- that is, the Rome of movies, not of history. This one seems to be doing the same.I kinda liked it......
Didn't recognize the emperor or when it's set. I don't think flooding the coliseum was that common later on.
Does have a whiff of Maximus Cashgrabicus
Wonder what Economixcrisis would think?
Aside from Gladiator itself, wasn't that genre assassinated by Carry On Cleo in 1964?I read that Ridley Scott set the first Gladiator in the "cinematic history" of Rome- that is, the Rome of movies, not of history. This one seems to be doing the same.
In movies, mostly - there were a few more in the '70s, then we basically didn't see any solidly set in that genre (i.e. Movie-Rome) until 2014's Pompeii and 2016's Ben-Hur, both of which were awful.Aside from Gladiator itself, wasn't that genre assassinated by Carry On Cleo in 1964?
