Is there already a Gladiator Prestige Class?

I have been working on making one for a game of D&D...

Does anyone have the stats for the Kalamar version?

Gladiator. . . . Hmm. Do you mean, um, the fighter? Why do you need a prestige class?

And yes, in Sword & Fist (WotC Fighter & Monk class book) there is a gladiator prestige class. It's kinda boring, and wouldn't work for a PC unless he brings along a huge audience to all of his fights.

Rather than having a "Gladiator" prestige class, I'd make a few 3 level or 5 level styles.

Really, a gladiator knows what they know at low levels.

Its more of a feat and equipment chain, to me.

as a class...

I think it would be a moronic prestige class... who wants to be a slave... but as a basic starting class... it could work.

You make fit somewhere between barbarian and fighter... with more of a tendency towards barbarian. You strap on a few nifty abilites... and voila.

Here are a few abilites I thought might work...

Improvised weapon - Allows the Gladiator to use almost any object as a weapon. It would allow the character to wield anything from a broken sword to a severed limb. The bonus it grants would not be huge... but it would be better than fighting with nothing.

Feed off the Crowd - Performance adds to base attack bonus. It's a move equiv... Make a perform check (not instruments or that crud) divide the number by 10 (round down to the nearest whole number) and add that number to your base attack. It's not super powerful... but it makes sense.

Fearless - +4 on fear checks

Etc...

Any thoughts?

If your concept can be easily expressed as a cross between a fighter and a barbarian, that suggests the best way to create it is as a multiclassed fighter/barbarian.
