Gladiator's up

I definitely think that we'll see something like the Spellscarred feats for Dragonmarks in Eberron.
I decided to get a DDI subscription because of this thread. Unfortunately, even though my account recognizes that I bought a subscription, it still tells me that I need to subscribe to view. Has anyone else had this problem, and do you know where I would go to fix it?

Try logging out of D&Di and back in again and/or closing and re-opening your browser. Logging out worked for me, I seem to recall.

Alright, I haven't read the gladiator article yet. But regarding the epic fighter path preview?

Dear WOTC. Please stop being anal. I can see that you wanted the level 30 ability to be a power, but you felt constrained by your unwritten rules- that the level 30 ability granted by a class Shalt Be A Class Ability And Not A Power. So you made a class ability that IS a power, and you just declined to put it into a power block.

Use the power block! That is what it is for! Who cares that it doesn't fit your template? You've written a daily ability. Make it one.

You know, I really like how WoTC has expanded the usage of the feat-based, multi-class mechanic. By this I mean, you can use it to broaden your character's abilities (traditional multi-class), specialize your character's abilities (weapon specialization), or create weird, magical mutants (spellscarred). I wonder how else they'll use them?
I'm using the multiclass mechanic to make a dragonborn PC "extra-dragonny".

Yes, he'll get wings.

An excellent article - well worth the month's subscription cost!

I can see a lot of paragon rangers picking up Called Shot.

I wonder if 'Pin Down' is hinting at the way grappling rules are going to go; through a feat tree, as many have hypothesized. Bet you there are more in Martial Power...

I could conceivably see it being used for the factions in Planescape, such as all those special abilities they got in 2e which could be class features or could be powers.

I wonder if the system could be used to make some truely distinct clerics, like the specialty priests from 2e FR.. Could be interesting.

Sounds like a good idea.

I think in a way Paragon Path and Multiclass Feats will "recreate" what 3E Prestige Classes did. You are just given more ways to implement the concept of a PrC.

So, Deity specific abilities? Definitely in. More racial abilities? Definitely in.

So, it looks like the Dragon subscription will actually be worth it. Hopefully, my credit card arrives soon...

Yes, I think the multiclass-only class model will work well for racial paragon classes and specialized priests and paladins of a specific god, domain, or philosophy.
