GLEE #18: Laryngitis

More of the glee club gets to sing in tonight's episode when Rachel loses her voice. Unfortunately, Tina isn't one of them:mad:.

The playlist (or should I say playglist?*):

Rachel sings "The Climb", originally performed by Miley Cyrus (and even with her voice out, she'll still sound better than Miley. At least it's not "Party in the USA")

Kurt sings "Pink Houses", originally performed by John Cougar Mellencamp

Puck and Mercedes sing "The Lady Is a Tramp", originally performed by Frank Sinatra

The glee club sings "One", originally performed by U2

Kurt sings "Rose's Turn" from Gypsy: A Musical Fable

Finn sings "Jessie's Girl", originally performed by Rick Springfield (and speaking of Finn, today is Cory Montieth's birthday)

Mercedes and Santana sing "The Boy Is Mine", originally performed by Brandy and Monica

*The "playglist" joke would have worked better last week, but I didn't think about it until after I had finished it.

Yeah, I just can't agree with the conclusion that all of Mellencamps songs are about the dream of America failing in the 80s. I can think of two songs that don't fit the bill.

ROCK In The USA and Wild Night.

Great songs. I think my favorite Mellencampe one is Wild Night.
