If I cast glitterdust on someone is it basically impossible for them to turn invisible for the duration of the glitterdust spell?

Essentially, yes. The dust covers all and lasts until the spell's duration fades, or it is dispelled or something. It technically won't stop someone from using a spell or ability to turn invisible, but the glitter will give away their location as long as it lasts.

they could become invisible, but you would still see the dust, so it would kinda pointless for them.
