These things are great ! good detail and places where a Modern campaign would go as well. So has anyone made any adventure to go with the maps ? This Months Bowling Alley map got me to thinging about what adventures would lead PCs there so here goes.......
  1. Inheretence; One of the PCs crazy uncle left him the Busted Pins Bowling Emporium, unfortinally not all is what it appears.
  2. Get a clue; A contact has asked to be met at the local Bowling Alley, the PCs find him with his head stove in
  3. Place of Employment; One of the PCs has a REAL JOB ! He's the shoe man at the bowling alley and the local drug dealer is working the place too.
  4. Gremlins ! In a UA campagin the Shadowkind owner asks the PCs to help him rid his place of Grimlins ( and you find out the kids at the arcade are really halflings )

Chistopher West, otherwise known as Map Maker on these boards, does some AWESOME maps and I would love to see him come out with a book of them. (HINT HINT) In my opinion, his work on GP and the SW maps is one of the few saving graces of the Dung/Poly mag. As for which maps of his I will make use of, the answer would would be that I have used or am planning to use all of them in due time.

Airforce Base (Poly 155) Although it's before the GP series, it is a CW map which I make heavy use of. It is the HQ of my players which is called Apha Base. About the only thing I changed was that I added some more buildings and got rid of the planes
Municipal Police Station (Poly 157) Although it was too small to be regular police station except for a smaller town, in my opinion, I have placed it in Alpha Base as a sort containment center for unruly beings

Bowling Alley (Poly 162) I may use it as a indoor shooting range for Alpha Base, depending on how long the lanes are or how easy the map will be to modify, or leave it as is. I hav'nt seen the map yet so I'm really not sure on this

BTW, what other GP maps are in the new Poly. I already know about the SW maps which I'm looking forward to

Hint, Hint from me too, the Bowling Alley was the only map, in Poly 162, but Poly 161 had 3 in it a Corperate Office, Pawn Shop and a "Sleazy Bar".

If I recall correctly, Poly 161 also had a small cemetary GP map as well but I was'nt impressed with it as it stands. I may change to a memorial park at a later date. Concerning the Office map in that issue, which was a good one in my opinion, I added a couple more floors to it as well as a underground garage for a hostage crisis adventure in the near future

Actually, I'd rather he do a PDF 'book' of maps, so I can print them out instead of trying to photocopy everything. :P

Global Positioning Maps

Hi, all!

I'm thrilled to hear that you guys are enjoying the Global Positioning series. I love to learn what people are doing with the maps, and it's very rewarding to see new plot hooks that involve them!

Regarding the book idea: this is something we've discussed, and the demand certainly seems to exist...I've seen lots of requests for such a product. There's no official news yet, but I can tell you it's something I personally would love to see happen.

The tricky part is: Paizo keeps me so busy (bless their souls!) that I have little spare time to devote to an outside project like that. I'm not ruling out the possibility of a PDF collection of new maps somewhere down the road, but I think a printed collection of existing Global Positioning maps (perhaps accompanied by new adventure ideas and related d20 tidbits) has more probability in the short term. Keep your fingers crossed. :)

For those keeping track, here's a list of GPS maps published to date:

Municipal Police Station
Large Metropolitan Bank
Downtown Night Club
Fast Food Restaurant
Large Family Residence
Sleazy Urban Bar + Pawn Shop
Corporate Office Building
Modern Cemetery
Bowling Alley

I'm not sure if the next map in the series has been seen yet (it should go to subscribers pretty soon, I think...) so I won't spoil the surprise just yet. :)

And now I have to run...gotta put the finishing touches on another map. :)

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

I used the Sleazy Urban Bar + Pawn Shopmap in my last game BTW, with a secret tunnel connecting them. Do you take request for upcomeing issues :D ? :D

Thanks, Doc! I build them in Adobe Photoshop, for the most part.

Cool idea with the tunnel! And yep, I'm always open to suggestions. I keep a list of cool map ideas for future reference, and mark them off one at a time as I work through them. The list actually grows faster than I can finish maps, but that's a good thing... ;-)

A Retail Store like Wal-mart, Target etc.

A Mortuary

I did notice a car that looked like the General Lee from Dukes of Hazard in one of the maps, did you put it there on poupose as a joke or it just happened ? If the formal any other little "Easter eggs we should look for :) ?
