D&D 5E gloomstalker figthing in darkness and being invisible in darkness

RAW Doomstalker - While in darkness, you are invisible to any creature that relies on darkvision to see you in that darkness.

So my interpretation of this if fighting Drow or Svirfneblin or anything else that lives its life in darkness using darkvision, that they are invisible, they can't be seen and therefore have advantage on attacks and enemies have disadvantage to hit them. Said enemies have to light a torch or cast a light spell or something like that to cancel this disadvantage.

Is this a correct interpretation?

Yes.

Note, however, that darkness to DV creatures is like a moonlit night to humans. It is hard for them to see.

Their cities will have dim lighting, like we have bright lighting in our cities (including how humans like daylight).
