I don't like the standard MM golems. Most of their abilities just dont make much sense, like the haste/slow effects, the poision breath, et. al, or circumvent good systems we have in place for no apparent reason, like the spell immunities instead of SR. I also don't care for the berserk thing, though al least that has its roots in gentiles' golem horror stories, if not the original blood libel stuff.
So I'm reworking golems, and I get the idea: to reflect the golem's divine origin, why not have them like undead, but animated by positive, rather than negative energy? Thus rebuked by good clerics and turned by evil ones?
What do y'all think?
