GOO: BESM d20 Preview?

Any chance of getting a preview of the new book before it comes out? I'm planning on getting the Deluxe Edition, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable forking over 60 bucks if there were a couple sample pages to peruse while waiting for it to ship.

Thanks
Chris

We will be putting up a preview, but not until early May.

Well, my concern really, is being compatable with D&D and the classes being balanced with the other D&D classes. I plan on running a multi-genre d20 Oathbound Exiles*-esque group when this book is absorbed into my brain. I'm gonna have characters in my group that are from all over, and I just don't want some WAY overpowering others, especially since everything else in Oathbound is pretty standard D&D. Just having a glimpse of one of the classes would help immensely. Even if you e-mail me privately, that's cool. I'm just plunking down 60 bucks on a pre-order, and don't want to be disappointed. :D

I hope you understand.

Thanks!
Chris

*Exiles is one of the BEST Marvel comics in existence! A group of reality-tossed characters band together, jumping from reality to reality, righting things that go wrong, and hoping that eventually they'll repair reality so they can go home! Occaisionally, characters are lost or killed, and are replaced by new ones. It's a blast! It's like combining Quantum Leap, Sliders, and X-Men. PICK UP THIS BOOK!

Balancing

One of the major features of BESM d20 is the balancing of all D&D classes, races, and special abilities. The standard d20 classes are presented, deconstructed, and rebuilt using our point-based redefinition of the d20 System.

What you're looking for is precisely what BESM d20 is about. That, and role-playing in your own anime world.

The BESM classes are also presented as D&D classes, aren't they? So if I don't want to use point buy, and want to use them like classes from D&D, SW, and d20 Modern, it's not going to be a chore, right? I don't want to change the way things are currently rolled up now.

Thanks
Chris

Correct. Though BESM d20 is a point-based version of the d20 System, you don' tneed to even use the points to enjoy the game -- you can simply use the class progressions as presented.

Excellent! Sorry for being a pest, but I'm just really excited about this, yet afraid I wouldn't be able to mesh it with my current campaign. Is the book still slated for May? I've got friends from all over the country coming to visit in early June, and I was hoping to have it for when they arrive.

Thanks!

It should be out in early June.
