Wait, Armstrong still has a move action left on his turn after any readied actions were taken.

He will shift over to 115N75E.

Drac does not take any damage from attacking through the blade barrier, but Armstrong has cover with respect to each attack.

Okay. Also, remember the cover bonus to the reflex save (+2), though it still wouldn't have been enough.

Drac will step as before and full attack at +2 PA (because of the forgotten cover): tail slap, wing, wing, bite, claw, claw. Although the claws have reach 10ft, the chart in the DMG on page 8 gives huge creatures two diagonal squares for reach 10ft. I guess it was better to give them the advantage than to shortchange them.

(I know there's a funky chart for reach in the Draconomicon, but I never can seem to find it when I want it)

Drac would regret putting quite so much force into the blows if he could really know how close he came (tail 23, wing 29, wing 28, bite 38, claw 23, claw 28). Hits with bite and wing come to (24-10)+(15-10) = 19 hp. Armstrong is down to 55 hp.

Grappling check - Drac wins (40 vs. 30). Armstrong wriggles to avoid the worst of the blades (27) taking (51/2 = 25hp). Armstrong has 30 hp left.

Sidebar: everytime I look at my GM notes for this fight I see how important that dispel from Brian probably was to the outcome of this one...

Armstrong seems to be a little too cocky for his own good. :(

He'll disappear again. Sigh. ;)

[sblock]Back to 115N0E-120Z. Next round, cast heal. Next round teleport to 0N65E.[/sblock]

OOC: I'm not sure I agree with or even like the rule of snatching through the blades without getting bitten in return. Regardless, Armstrong has probably taken as much damage from them as Drac. Too bad Drac has no curative spells. In actuality, his spell selection sucks so much he burned them all on overlapping prot. goods.

If not, Evil will do the usual, as follows. Good, go ahead and plan ahead until you reappear.
[sblock] Drac will move south to 85n60e and ready to breath (if available) or bite at PA +2. I expect he'll change tactics to go to the SE corner. Ringo will stay up there and continue readying. Paul will move over to 75n70e and then ready a bite the following round. [/sblock]

Armstrong disappeared in 127.

Drac, Ringo in 128:
Drac moves to 85n60e
Ringo stays in a sekrit place.

Armstrong in 128:
[sblock]
Armstrong returns to 126 hp and gets wet.
[/sblock]

Paul in 128:
Moves to 75n70e.

Drac, Ringo in 129: Continue sinning.

Armstrong in 129:
Teleports to 0n65e and sees Drac and Ringo, and has a move action remaining.
None of Evil's readied actions can trigger due to the range. Armstrong looks perfectly healthy and wet.
