Good big fantasy city maps?

My players are about to start a civil war in a major metropolis in my campaign. I would like to have a map of the city to plot out the various skirmishes and so forth. The wizards.com website did not have any large fantasy city maps that looked appropriate. Where can i find a good 'generic' fantasy city map? I would like something I can print out so I can mark up copies for my players and myself. I am also not adverse to buying PDF products.

The city has approximately 30,000 people in it, several large estates/buildings that are headquarters of various factions, a large church, and is a port city but that's all I've described to the players.

Do yourself a BIG favor and do a Google search for the old Judges Guild's "City State of the Invincible Overlord" based on 1E (called CSIO; also do NOT get the old Mayfair Games version). It might say revised but that is okay. It has what you are looking for and the maps were made for pencilling in and marking. In fact, there was a map for the DM and a map for the players. It is a port city, there are several major churches in its setting (you can make them whatever you want), and plenty of territory to have tons of skirmishes. It was designed for JG's Wilderlands Campaign Setting but this City can be dropped in any world.

Judges Guild has been resurrected and they are now partnering with Necromancer Games for a huge boxed set of not only a new and improved CSIO 3.5, but also 18 maps that go along with the world setting. Unfortunatly it isn't coming out until late this year. Nevertheless, for old 1E players that used this great supplement back in the late 70s and early 80s this is fantastic news. Go over to the Necromancer Game forums and check out the JG threads there.

First thing that came into my head was my visit to Germany. Those old walled towns are awesome to behold, and would likely be the best thing you're looking for. Unfortunately, maps of said towns aren't nearly as impressive. However, I did look up a map of Ulm, home of the world's tallest Church Tower: Ulm

Doubt that particular link'll help that much, but perhaps it's a nudge in the right direction.

Hmm, here's some of the stuff I found (some might not have town maps, but are great map sites nonetheless):

Cartography Unlimited have a PDF out detailing an entire Town+region (full details include most of the prominent NPC's houses and detail maps of interesting sites arround the town and region. Maps provided in PDF and CC2 format)

The Pro Fantasy site is a gold mine for maps! Thanks :)

BTW, I am actually using the player's guide to the wilderlands as the base setting of the campaign. I don't want to use the city state map just yet since this city (ossary) is probably going to burn down to the ground. You gotta love a primarily CN/Evil party.

Don't forget Irony Games, www.irony.com! Lots of rather good maps which are quite generic. Perhaps too generic for constant use, but...
