Hello,

Although it is more for Comic Books stores, you can try looking here:

http://the-master-list.com/USA/Pennsylvania/index.shtml

Atomic City Comics down on South Street has a decent selection of D&D and other RPGs. There is also a good used bookstore at 5th and South (I believe) which sometimes has gaming materials. Check on the second floor of the store in Humor/Games section.

Hope this helps,
Ghostmoon

And, I would second a trip to the Jester's Playhouse near Atlantic City. One of the nicest, cleanest, and most organized stores I have seen. They also have a great used/OOP section.

Anyone got restaurant recommendations?

In Atlantic City, the Borgata casino's buffet can't be beat. For more upscale dining, they have several other (pricey) restaurants. For seafood, the Marina's seafood restaurant can't be beat. Outside of the casinos, try Angelo's if you like Italian. It is a little dump and wait times are 1 hr + on Friday & Saturday nights, but the food is great.

In Philly, there are too many great restaurants to mention - from little hole-in-the-walls to landmarks like the Copa on South Street to 4-star restaurants. Best bet? go to www.philly.com and check out the dining section - there is a handy-dandy search tool.

No offense, Rob - but Gamer's Realm has gone downhill in a hurry - and it started about a year or so ago when the main guy managing that store either quit or was fired. I occasionally stop in there on Thursday nights (and used to play Living Greyhawk there every month). They used to have a good selection of new and used games, a decent selection of mini's, and a good atmosphere for playing RPGs. Now, when I go in there, I see that the single copy of the newest item I want is already sold out and they seem to have *no* idea of when they are getting more - "Try back next Tuesday." Additionally, it seems that the only games that are played there are 8-yr old hordes playing the latest CCG.

If you want to visit Gamer's Realm - stick with the original up in the Princeton/Trenton area.

No offense taken - I usually frequent the East Windsor location. But I thought you should see this - from the Gamer's Realm Forum (http://www.gamersrealm.com/forums/viewtopic.php4?t=25)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I AM IN CONTR... *ahem*. Hey, all. I'm posting to let everyone know that the Cinnaminson store is under new management as of Saturday, January 31, 2004. Those who know me, I'm Joe Keyser, who filled in at the Cinnaminson store when Lou first took ill, and was a full time employee at the West Windsor store.

I'd like to take this time to thank Alex Koratzanis for holding down the fort when Lou took ill, and giving me a solid store to take the reigns of as manager.

Also, for those wondering how Lou is doing, he's doing a lot better. He's been walking assisted by a walker and he'll be heading home from the hospital soon (knock on wood). Unfortunately, the status of his health will not see him returning to work any time soon, hence my taking over the Cinnaminson store. I only hope I can run it half as well as he did.

Anyway, just wanted to keep everyone updated. Once I get my feet wet in the next couple of weeks, I'll be posting my plans for in-store events to get the store rocking again.

As always, I welcome any and all questions, suggestions, comments, etc.

So you see, the last manager took ill - and it's likely they tried to work with what was an awkward situation for quite a while.... IT's possible that by now (6 weeks after this post) things are back on track for Cinnaminson...

Rob,

Hopefully things will change for the better. When I said the store had gone downhill, I didn't mean recently - I meant as far back as June 2003 or even further. After the first day-to-day management change occurred, it seemed that there was attention to detail, less *care* when it came to running that store. I work in Moorestown and would stop in there about once a week or so - and I saw first-hand the changes that were occurring. As late as 2 weeks ago, I was in there - no Dragoneye mini's on the shelves, no Dragon Magazine on the shelves and no idea of when they would be getting any in stock. I used to be able to go in there on a weeknight and see all kinds people engaged in D&D, CCGs, etc. Over the last several months, the only people I saw in there were pre/early teens playing CCGs (and what the hell are they doing there on a school-night, anyway?)

As I said - hopefully, things will turn around. The WoTC store in the mall there went belly-up so they should have no competition in the Cinnaminson/Moorestown/Mt. Laurel/Delran region.

Iwas thinking more resaurants in Philly. We're going to have some time to kill so I figured a good resaurant that locals recommend would be nice. The best places are always places taht locals go to alot themselves.

Ah...bonus...thats really close to me...I was looking for a good store in my area, the nearest hobby store is slowly phasing out there RPG section, I don't think they're buying anything but D&D materials anymore, and thats getting more and more limited.
