Good GMs at Gen Con?

I played only one game at Gen Con. It was under the superior DMing skills of Piratecat. I don't have any cool quotes from him though.

Ditto.

Actually wait, I do have one.

"OK, that works"

Someone (Pielorhino maybe) commented that PC's default assumption in the Spycraft game we played was that the player's actions succeeded. It made for a fast-paced game that was a lot of fun.

While I don't have a quote, there's a reason for that!

Piratecat's interrogating computer was classic. I've been double, triple, quadrupal negativing my son ever since. :) It was impossible to follow P-cat's computer questioning, and of course, if you answered wrong, you're dead!

PS

No quotes, but I had an awesome experience playing Traveller T20 with Jason "Flynn" Kemp.

The adventure was his own; the plot was intriquing. His preparation was outstanding, including detailed handouts on the star system we'd be operating in, and pregens on character sheets (no stat blocks!).

I did a really crappy job of GMing my first game (stage fright, I guess), but everyone said the next three adventures were all a blast, so maybe I saved face there.

I was 3/3 for good games at my first GenCon.

Phil (Rhyxivar on Monte's boards) did a bang-up job with AU. Superhuman highschool was a blast.

And the guy that ran Cartoon Action Hour: Transformers was way on his game. It was set when the autobots had not had much contact at all with humans. We were driving along the highway, and he says, "You see this vine with a red light hanging from it." It's details like that that make a game memorable.

I was actually 4/4 for good gamemasters, 3 in the RPGA. I can't remember all the names, but the guy who ran our Savage Species game was very good - I think his name was Mark Ashbrough. Like someone said of PC above, he tended to respond with, "Yeah, that works," to most player actions. Nice game.
