Good reward items for my party

First Post
Hello all,

I'm looking for some suggestions as some items as a reward for my 4 player party. The party consist of:

Human Knight 9
Dwarf Fighter 1/ Cleric 8
Half-elf Beguiler 9
Elf Wizard (Transmuter) 9

They are quite a bit below "standard" equipment values at the moment, and are about to hit 10th level. They have a reward coming their way from a powerful benefactor. Items of around 10000-12000gp in value. Here's what I'm thinking so far:

Knight - Stone Horse (Corser)
Cleric - Ancestral Axe (?) (MIC)
Beguiler - Rod of Wonder
Transmuter - Boccob's Blessed Book

...any suggestions would be appreciated. Feel free to ask me any questions about the characters. ;)

i've currently got a rouge with a stone horse at lvl 11, it's great even though i don't get a huge amount of use out of it, but they can be annoying because while they're tougher than a normal warhorse you still have to leave it outside of the dungeon were it can easialy be stolen and it's a much bigger investment than a normal warhorse... my DM has given mine an extra ability that alows me to shrink it to poket size

A Figurine of Wondrous Power - Bronze Griffon would be more useful than the Stone Horse, I think. No need to make the transmuter cast fly on the knight before he engages a wyvern or such in battle - he just activates his bronze griffon and hops on, while the transmuter takes care of getting the dwarf airborne and moves on to more important spells the next round. And the bronze griffon can be carried around and used in an underground cavern or a large open room or the like, when needed, since it only animates and grows into a steed briefly.

The dwarf may appreciate Boots of Speed, instead of that Ancestral Axe. I dunno what's special about the axe, but I assume the dwarf and knight at least have magical weapons already. A Phylactery of Undead Turning may be useful for him, but I dunno what the undead situation is in your campaign (if any).

Or perhaps even a Clay Golem Manual? It's 12k, and the dwarf should be able to sculpt and animate a Clay Golem with such an item, though he'd need to acquire the raw materials himself (and make the requisite Craft checks; though as a dwarf, and with the Manual's +5 to that effort, it should not be hard unless the dwarf has no such Craft ranks and can't afford to get enough ranks next level). Actually, it should be fairly cheap for him to acquire the raw materials and whatnot; according to the SRD at least, it's a 1,000-pound block of clay, treated with rare oils worth 1,500 GP, and the Craft check needed is just a Craft (sculpture) or Craft (pottery) DC 15. He should only need a few ranks to be successful at the check with the use of the Manual and his dwarven workmanship.

A quick glance through the Magic Item Compendium says:
1) Knight - Give him some of the items in the Five Virtues magic item set. Any knight stands to benefit from them.
2) Cleric - Axe of Ancestral Virtue is a great choice.
3) Beguiler - Mesmerist's Gloves. It's like split ray for enchantment spells.
4) Transmuter - Blindfold of True Darkness - neat and potent at the same time.

Why not ask the players what they want?

Do it in game as the benefactor, it makes for a neat encounter (and a great setup later for when a bad guy does something similar to them find out their weaknesses)

Unless the beguiler's player is the highly chaotic type, I wouldn't go with the Rod of Wonder. Also, if they're a big minmaxer you also don't want to go with the Rod. In the hands of someone that doesn't mind being short and colorful and has a large empty place to play, it's an infinite supply of 1gp gems.
