Being a hero in real life is way better than being one in D&D. You can totally be a hero to your wife and it will be worth all the suffering along the way. Vaya con Dios.

Take care Rob. I would make mending your relationship with your wife your priority; clearly there are a number of steps in that, and giving up gaming is one of them.

Gaming can be escapist fun, but Real Life(tm) matters most.

God bless you.

Put all your DND creativity and energy into making some positive changes in your life.

Don't be afraid.

All the best.

I've gamed with you on the PbP boards and that Maptools game, it was a blast CG, but the real world takes front seat. I wish you all the best and hope that you and your wife can make amends. My spouse & I went through a pretty rough patch about a year & a half ago, kind of similar situation, I dropped off the boards, focused on her and our family, and got everything in order. I found honesty to be the best policy, I used to "sneak" away to game, now we spoke and I said that I'd like some time for me to do this, and then I give her the same amount of time.

Good Luck!

I am sorry to hear that. =(
I hope that you will be able to conquer everything that is going on in your life.

Good luck to you.

ENWorld and the rest of us will be here. =)

I'll swing this shut as well (email me, CG, if you'd rather I didn't.) My best of luck to you as you work your way back to solid ground. We're here when you need us.
