Goodman Games NOT nominated?!?

We have a system in place for disputing moderation. It does not involve calling out moderators in threads. Enjoy your vacation.

How badly do you want a threadban? Go ahead and insult another person, and you can have one, free of charge.

Please be advised, all of you, that a smiley does not render an insult non-insulting. "I was only joking," does not hold water - whether you mean it or not, that excuse is used too often by passive aggressive folks to be valid for anyone.

Show respect for your fellow posters.

They didn't get nominated for "Fans Choice"? Is this just a mistake because the nomination thread wasn't very clear? Or were they nominated and an error kept them off the list?

I could have sworn they had been nominated when I read through the nominations thread.

Anyways, shocking to me that they weren't there.

This will most likely get me in trouble, but

once I saw Star Wars Saga nominated for Best Game/Best Product, I lost all respect for the ENnies. Just MO of course.

Oooo! Oooo! I do! It's called "trolling."

1) Falstaff's post had absolutely nothing to do with the OP.

2) It was purposefully inflammatory. Regardless of whether or not it's "his opinion," stating that one has "lost all respect for the ENnies" is inflammatory.

3) That is the very definition of trolling.

Wikipedia said:
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

I cannot say for certain that Falstaff's intentions were to disrupt normal on-topic discussion, but it is not out of line for someone like jdrakeh to assume that he did and call him a troll. If anything, Falstaff deserved the warning for posting an off-topic inflammatory post in this thread.

Being able to be called out in public by a mod and not given a forum to respond is something that still rubs me the wrong way on ENW.

Out of curiosity, how does one go about disputing moderation? I had a quick look around the site and I couldn't seem to figure that out, but I'm probably not looking in the right place.

I've seen mods say to email them if you want to discuss the issue further.

Ah! Thanks for getting Goodman into the voting as well as correcting that error that wasn't counting the votes, it is much appreciated.

That wasn't clever, Tony. You know it's not done; you even say so in this post where you do it. 7 days. Don't push us; we're tired. The "calling out a mod" ban is automatic, as you very well know; and because I know you now that, it's 7 not 3 days.
