In which the guys discover that they have not killed the Black Spider, the Drow it seems has already found, and entered, Wave Echo Cave. The guys hot-foot it back to Phandalin, the recently rescued Gundren Rockseeker leads them in to Wave Echo Cave...

In which the guys get caught out twice in quick succession, and take a beating- reluctantly they head on, only to stop again when they finally run out of hit points, spells, powers and bottle.
