Pathfinder 1E Gosh darned class pre-requisites - XCrawl Pathfinder/D&D 3.5 Barbarian/Fist of the Forest

First Post
In an upcoming XCrawl (dungeon crawling as a sport) game I'm playing in (using the Pathfinder rules with the legacy 3.5ed stuff grandfathered in where it works) I'm looking to play a Dwarf Barbarian/Fist of the Forest mountain man (he's working towards Bear Warrior). Unfortunately Fist of the Forest has pretty steep feat prerequisites including Great Fortitude along with two other far more useful feats. Apart from the feat requirements I can get in at level 5 but unfortunately as a Dwarf I only get two feats by then, delaying entry until the level after when I get my 5th level feat. Are there any variants, traits, character backgrounds or class/racial features I can trade away to get Great Fortitude as a bonus feat instead?

I'm far more used to D&D 3.5 than Pathfinder but it seems to have some extra stuff around traits and character backgrounds that make races and characters a bit more differentiable that I don't know much about but was hoping might have the answer.

I've already asked my DM about taking a flaw to gain a bonus feat but unfortunately he nixed that idea. The other obvious answer is to play a human which gets the required number of feats just fine. I'd rather not do that if there's any way around it though - playing a dwarf seems more fun and a better fit for the character.

Any ideas or do I need to suck it up and choose between delaying entry to fist of the forest for a level or switching race to human?

When playing with interesting concepts in prestige classes, playing a human is almost required. I would not take a non-human unless I was taking a vanilla class all the way down the line. Fighter? Dwarf; naturally. Any characters with two backslashes in the "class" entry? Definitely human.

The alternative is the be patient and wait for delayed gratification, but I'm not very good at that.

As I understand it, with feat prereqs you can take the feat and the first level of the prestige class at the same time. Given that you're using PF rates of feat accrual, you could take four levels in a martial class and take 2 of the feats you need, and then at level 5 take the third feat and the first level of FoF.

You might look at totem variant barbarians, of which the Ape has PA and the Bear (appropriately) has Great Fort as a bonus feat in exchange for trading in class features. I suspect these variants port to PF fine.

Some DMs might accept a tradeoff like giving up all your weapon profs for Improved Unarmed Strike or giving up your dwarven save bonuses for Great Fortitude or simply allowing your save bonuses to satisfy the prereq. These are not by the book but also are not unreasonable.
