Congrats! So, what's the first gaming purchase you're going to make with the new influx of funds?

I, uh, already made it. I got a little trigger-happy.

I picked up Paranoia XP, because it is fun. Other games are not fun. The Computer said so and I trust the Computer.

(the game had me at the sample of play for another game because you aren't cleared to read a sample of play from Paranoia).

So I have no recent technical references and all my prior technical references are basically obsolete.
I'm not one of those people who keeps tabs on your life over the internet, otherwise I would have offered some advice sooner. But here it is anyway, in case anyone else is interested:

Ferguson's Law of Résumé Writing: Never put anything on your résumé that you can't learn in 3 weeks. :)

If everyone's hiring Java web developers and all you know is BASIC, you can teach yourself Java using the same software tools that the pros use because those tools are available for free! And if you make a simple little web application it's easy to show that to prospective employers in lieu of work experience.

Congratulations BG
Must be rough having two of your most recent employers as no longer trading on your resume, luckily everywhere I've worked is still trading.

For those of you who commit all my posts to memory and write them down in sacred texts so that future generations can benefit from my experiences....

I love it when you remember me. :)

'Grats BG!

Now, about that money you owe me....
