Got Riddles?

Tuzenbach

First Post
Hey, all. I'm brand new here. I've been playing D&D off and on since 1979 and I've determined that, for me, the best part of the game are riddles, either creating them as a DM or solving them as a player. However, they can be very time consuming to create so I was wondering if anybody here knew of some riddle resources out there that could be beneficial to DMs. Thanks in advance!

I have a couple that you might like in my Story hour. See the link in my .sig.

One is a riddle, and the other is a puzzle.

I only saw the one at the end, though I could make neither heads nor tails of it. I take it it was one of those things where one has to read all the background info to "set up" the riddle? That's a LOT of reading!

Search early on for a picture. It has the riddle in it. The second one isn't terribly difficult. Essentially, the players ask to place 8 runes numbered 1-8 in the diagram. Read a few posts ahead of it for a rhyme with the instructions in it.

Thanks for the link, Dogbrain. It's amazing that this thread got pushed all the way back to page 4 in a matter of hours. It just goes to illustrate the hordes of persons utilizing these boards. No wonder over a thousand pages exist between now and a year ago. Wow!
