Got spycraft

Hey Psion what did you think of the mastermind system?

The jury is still out on that; I might have to play with it before I decide. It seems like a lot of work crunching numbers and still has no guarantee that it will produce an appropriately challenging game. I mean, in theory it produces a set of villains the PCs can take on, but really AFAICT, if you run this game close to the inspiration (let's face it; this is basically a James Bond/MI d20 game), the nature of the mystery is going to be the main challenge, and the mastermind system won't bear directly on it.

I will say I likes some of the sample seasons, especially Martin St. James. Nice way to turn stag on your inspiration!

Spycraft

I find it interesting that you think it's very straight laced. My first though on skimming the feats section was 'Hey, It's Lupin* the RPG.' Of course I haven't had time to read the book in depth yet. And you have to love a melee weapon section that starts off with "Bayonet, Brass knuckles, cattle prod and chainsaw." :D

*If you don't know what this means go rent "The Castle of Cagliostro."
