Gotham is actually... Moscow?

The yellow oval was added to the bat-symbol because DC couldn't copyright just the image of a bat.

So unless it's a vigilante type character with a serious bat-fetish, a lawsuit won't fly.

Sure. Because DC Comics are totally going to be able to sue the Russian Defence Intelligence service...

I can just imagine!

"Comrade, we have a letter from some crazy American lawyer saying they own out Intelligence logo!"

"Bwah ha ha ha! Those crazy Americans!"

An online translator gave me this:

я буду человеком летучей мыши

If Batman were Russian, he'd be dead before saying "Bat"!
Seriously, I believe that the names of the major DC and Marvel superheroes are pronounced in Russian pretty much as they are in English. So "I'm Batman" would be transliterated in Russian as "Ja Batman".

There's no standard, actually. Batman, for instance, is called "Batman" here in Brazil, instead of "Homem-Morcego" (which here is one of Batman's titles, like Dark Knight), while Superman was "Super-Homem" for 60 years before they decided to start calling him "Superman". Flash and Aquaman retain their names, while Green Arrow is "Arqueiro Verde" (Green Archer) and Wonder Woman is "Mulher-Maravilha".

Plus, it's funnier if the name is, like, 10 syllables long... :D
