Is supers kind of like the flavour of the month? It seems every other publisher is doing a Superheroes book!

Ultimately there are only 4 genres: Fantasy, Supers, Sci Fi, and Pulp. The Fantasy market is overly saturated, IMO. Supers was a dead market until about a year ago. Seeing that, many publishers jumped on the bandwagon, so now we are getting the flood. Sci Fi is still fairly open. I do not believe Star Wars, Dragonstar, and now d20 Traveller are really enough of a choice for that d20 market. Pulp is the least popular, but one of my favorites. Forgotten Kingdoms is trying to fill that void. But few people under 30 though have read much pulp fiction, though many can name some of the genre's most popular characters: Conan, Tarzan, Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, etc so that genre will be the least popular.

There will be more M&M news this week. I like to think big news, but we'll see.

Stay posted.

"Thunderhead" sounds like the name of a seventies-era super-prostitute. Consider yourself in the book, Hal! ;)

NIK!!!!!!
Now is the time for my :cringe: emoticon....:D

Erik, please stop by the booth 1252 or e-mail me where you will be I would love to buy you a coke and discuss some stuff, and it has nothing to do with the ever protecting Super-heroine Thunderhead!

YOU can't wait? :) Dude, I *so* want this book to come out. I've never in my life looked forward to October arriving as much as I'm looking forward to this October!

Come by booth 151 at GenCon and see the jaw-droppingly beautiful art that's been turned in to Super Unicorn already. There are further web previews in the works, but I'm dragging some of this stuff to GenCon with me because it's just *that* awesome.

I wish we could just do everything all at once, you know? ::sigh::

Tiny bit excited,
Nicole

Hal,

My schedule will be posted by the Paizo Podium in the WotC castle. I'd love to chat any time I'm at the booth, and we can arrange to grab a beer or something from there. :)

Thanks for the kind words. We're really looking forward to this. Just before Sean Glenn (or art director) left for San Diego Comic Con he showed me a couple pieces by Dan Brereton (Nocturnals) that just blew me away. Nice, full-page color paintings. Tasty.

This is a really fun project and I'm thrilled to be working on it.

M&M

The preview made me want to buy the book. Nice going Green Ronin and Super Unicorn. Everyone should check out the Super Unicorn site, BTW. Fun stuff!

Too bad Green Ronin doesn't do the unsolicited submissions thing, I have a ton of supers material.

Still, I hope M&M sells like the comic boom days!

:D
