The latest installment of the Black Company Developer's Journal is up at our website. This week Robert Schwalb talks about about the brand new magic system featured in the Black Company Campaign Setting. Click here to read Lime Mists and Doorways of Cold:

In other Black Company news, our printer is supposed to overnight some advanced copies of the book to us at GenCon SoCal on Friday. If all goes well, we'll be debuting the book Saturday afternoon. Come see us in Booth 708.

When do you think it'll hit the stores? ... in Canada? I've been waiting for this for a long time. Even before it was announced in fact.

Oh, and big question, will there be a map of the setting?

It's shipping to disbibutors on Friday and ought to be in stores about the 21st. And yes, it has a map.

I have a lot of books to review, including several GR products. This one will definatly be read as soon as it gets here. I'm a huge fan of the series and I'm dying to see the art and map GR has provided for the world setting.

or bump...

Oops, Chris was at GenCon SoCal and I missed the thread. Sorry!

Now, of course, Pramas has already answered... :)

In added news, we received a couple of cases in Seattle earlier than expected, so the book has been added to the webstore now.

I got a copy Sunday at the con. By closing that day a shipment of 40 was down to 2.

Hardbound, color cover with black and white interior art. A comprehensive history of the Black Company era and a gazeteer of the areas visited by said group. Haven't read all the way through it yet. I do hope to write about it in Mythus Mutters for Dec. 14th, 2004.

Warning: It does have more than its share of typoes. Mostly amusing.

Think of it as the Italian Renaissance writ large.
