Half-dwarf/Half-roper?!?
Why does this bring about visions of bondage and rape? It gives me a shudder contemplating how such a mating occurs. There seems an almost fetish like obsession with half breeds in gamers. I'm imagining the crossing of Mind Flayer and Drow and it doesn't stike me as concentual. But hey... I like my fantsy dark and grim and have a pencent for the fetish myself at times.
As an aside. Is the afor mentioned Mind Flayer half breed a problem with the SRD exclusion of them?

The book talks about different ways the half-breeds can come to be and sex is only one option. It can also happen via magic, curses, acts of the gods, etc.
Nope. We asked and received permission from WotC to use creatures like the mind flayer. It would have been more difficult if WotC had done that even a week later, but we were able to handle it at the 11th hour, right before it went to print.
